Sitaphal Kheer Recipe – Pumpkin Pudding – Video

Sitaphal kheer is Pumpkin pudding. Similar to rice kheer, but with Kashiphal as an ingredient. Popular Vrat dessert, high calorie and sweet taste.

  • 500 Ml Milk
  • 125 Gm Pumpkin (Sitaphal)
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Number Cardamom (Take out the seeds & make powder)
  • 15 Number Raisins
  • 1 Tsp Buchanania Lanzan Seeds (Chirongi or Cuddapah almond)
  • 15 Number Pistachio (Sliced)
  1. Grate Sitaphal into thin long slices as shown.
  2. Add Milk into a bowl and keep it on the stove on high flame.
  3. Wait until it gets a boil approx 1min
  4. Once you see the boil, add Sitaphal.
  5. Turn the stove on medium flame and cook the Kheer for 30min.. Stir it occasionally to avoid burning.
  6. After 30 min. Kheer is cooked. Add all dry fruits and mix well.
  7. Add Sugar. Mix well and let it cook on low flame for about 5 min..
  8. And after 5min., it is ready to eat. Switch off the stove.
  9. Hot Kheer is ready to serve. If you like to eat chilled Kheer then cool it to a room temperature and refrigerate for 2 hrs. Serve chilled and enjoy. Thank You!!!
