Mango Ice Cream Recipe – Video

Mango ice cream can be made at home with no egg and no ice cream maker. You just need condensed milk and whipped cream to make this ice cream easily.

  • 3/4 Cup Mango Pulp (you can extract it manually or get the readymade mango Pulp from market)
  • 1 Cup Whipped Cream
  • 1/2 Cup Condensed Milk (Sweet )
  1. The highlight of this recipe is no Egg and no Ice Cream Maker. yes, simple plain recipe with what you already have in your kitchen. No need to buy an ice cream maker.
  2. We have taken fat-free Condensed milk. You can also substitute it with fat-full or reduced-fat.
  3. Let us start. Add Mango Pulp, Condensed Milk and Whipped Cream in a bowl.
  4. If you do not have condensed milk, then can make it at home easily just by heating normal milk on low flame for about 30 minutes. Heating for 30 minutes evaporates makes it thicker in its consistency. You would also need to add about 1 cup of sugar with 1 liter of milk. Making condensed milk is a recipe that we would like to cover in a separate article.
  5. Coming back to the bowl, we have the 3 ingredients in the bowl now. Mix them well. This is our ice cream mixture.
  6. Do remember that whipped cream stands a chance of releasing water if you over-do the mixing. Just a 3-4 rounds of hands mixing is enough.
  7. Now, take an air tight container preferably plastic or any other material.
  8. Pour ice cream mixture in this container and flatten its face with a spoon.
  9. It need to be freeze now. Some recipes advise you to add Mango food color to get a better shining color for the ice cream. We do NOT recommend using any food color whatsoever. We believe that natural colors are better than make-ups!
  10. Close the container lid and freeze it for 4 hours.
  11. After 4 hours of freezing, Ice cream should be ready to serve. You can use a spoon or a scoop to extract.
  12. You can garnish it with Pistachio before serving.
  13. You can also pour some Mango pulp or chocolate or strawberry sauce to add more colors and sweetness.

Mango ice cream with aamras
  1. No prizes for guessing that this ice cream needs to be refrigerated! Well, you can keep it outside as well if you are staying in sub-freezing weather and save some electricity.
  2. It can be preserved for up-to 2 weeks for best taste and texture. Beyond that time frame, you won’t be able to enjoy the freshness.
  3. You can top up the Mango Ice cream with red cherries or sliced fruits any, Mango Syrup aamras or dry fruits while serving.
  4. Some people also use it as one of the ingredient in making Mango Ice Cream Cake.
