Churma Ladoo is a famous Rajisthani sweet dish. We are going to make the sweet balls (Ladoo) with the churma (the crushed and roasted wheat and gram flour). We are also going to add a bit of semolina (Sooji) to make them crispier than normal.

  1. 1/4 Cup (Our 1 Cup = 240 ML) Gram Flour (Besan)
  2. 1 Cup (Our 1 Cup = 240 ML) Pure Ghee (Desi Ghee)
  3. 1 Cup (Our 1 Cup = 240 ML) Wheat Flour (Atta)
  4. 2 Tbsp Fine Semolina (Suji)
  5. 1 Cup (Our 1 Cup = 240 ML) Sugar
  6. 5 Green Cardamom (Elaichi)
  7. 1 Tbsp Cashew Nuts

Method:

We should start with making a powder with Cardamom and Sugar. Open the Cardamom from center and take out its inner portion i.e. the small seeds. Now add it to the grinder jar along with Sugar. Grind them to make a fine powder. Cardamom seeds add a unique aroma to the Ladoo. Keep the powder aside for later use.

Now heat ghee in a pan on medium flame for 30 seconds. Add Wheat flour in hot ghee. Mix well. The mixture might form lumps but that is okay. No need to worry.

Keep the stove on low flame now. After mixing, add Gram Flour. Mix well again.

Once the mixture turns golden brown in color, switch off the stove. The main ingredient for making ladoo is ready. We now need to add the toppings to make it more attractive.
