Take 9” or 8” * 8” Tin.
Sieve flour & Baking powder. Keep aside.
Beat sugar & eggs till the mixture volume is nearly 4 times. Mix well & add essence( Vanilla or any other of your choice).
Add oil gradually, beat well after each addition.
Now add maida in small amount gradually while you go on beating on lowest speed or fold maida slowly with folding motion.
When all maida has been added & mixed well; its ready to be poured in tin.
Now take a tin(Baking tin in which cake can be made). Grease whole tin with oil from inside. Pour the prepared mixture in this tin rotating along the corners. Note that if you pour the mixture straightaway in the middle of tin, the cake may not bake well. Bake the cake for 30 min at 150 C.
To test the readiness of cake, you can use a knife. Pierce knife in centre of cake. If knife comes out sticky, the cake is not yet ready. You need to bake it for another slot of 5-7 min. Repeat the same readiness check.
If cake is ready, switch off the oven. Remove cake-tin from oven after 3 minute.
The tin should be kept aside to cool down for about 5-7 Min. After this time, the cake is ready for icing(optional) or serving. Enjoy!!
